Written around these when you rewrite the notes.
transcribe Zoom
Zoom’s own transcript needs a paid plan, and the host decides who gets it. nchova transcribes any Zoom call from your Mac: your microphone as you, the call’s audio as everyone else. No bot joins, the audio never leaves your Mac, and the notes are written when you hang up.
In short
Since May 2026 Zoom no longer lets you save live captions once a meeting ends. Its meeting transcript needs a Pro, Business or Enterprise account, stays off until a host or an admin turns it on, and a participant can only ask the host to start it. The transcript of a cloud recording needs a paid plan with cloud recording on. AI Companion’s summary is started by the host or a co-host, and everyone sees its icon light up.
So when you are not the host, or the host is on Zoom’s free plan, you usually leave with no transcript at all. nchova does not ask Zoom for anything: it transcribes what your Mac plays and what your microphone hears.
Zoom’s tools do one thing nchova does not: a transcript that belongs to the meeting and can be shared with everyone in it. nchova’s belongs to you.
Notetaker bots get a transcript by joining the meeting as a guest. nchova needs no seat in the call.
The notes are written around what you jotted down. Then ask the meeting: what did we decide, what do I have to do, write the follow-up.
