nchova

Your Google or Outlook calendar, in nchova.

nchova reads the calendars your Mac already knows, the ones in the Calendar app. It never asks you to sign in to Google or Microsoft, and your events never reach us. If you use your calendar only in the browser or in the Outlook app, your Mac does not know it yet: add the account once, for its calendar alone.

Google

  1. Open System Settings and click Internet Accounts in the sidebar. You may need to scroll down.
  2. Click Add Account, then type your Google address, or click choose from a list and pick Google.
  3. Sign in to Google as you usually do.
  4. Your Mac asks which apps should use the account: turn on Calendars alone, and leave Mail, Contacts and Notes off.

Outlook and Microsoft 365

  1. Open System Settings and click Internet Accounts in the sidebar. You may need to scroll down.
  2. Click Add Account, then type your work or Outlook address, or click choose from a list and pick Microsoft Exchange.
  3. Enter your name and address, click Sign In, and sign in with Microsoft as you do in Outlook.
  4. Your Mac asks which apps should use the account: turn on Calendars alone, and leave Mail, Contacts, Reminders and Notes off.

Already on your Mac, with mail and all?

In Internet Accounts, click the account and turn off everything but Calendars. That only takes the account out of the Mac’s own apps, such as Mail and Contacts: nothing is deleted from the account itself, which stays as it is at Google or Microsoft and in Outlook.

Then, in nchova

Open Settings › Meetings and, under Calendars to read, tick your own calendars. Leave a colleague’s shared calendar unticked: its meetings would look like yours, with you as a guest.

Still not there?

Open the Calendar app once and give it a minute to fetch your events. With a work account, your company decides which apps may read it: since October 2026 Microsoft has been switching off, company by company, the connection the Mac uses for Microsoft 365, and Apple has said a macOS 27 update will move to the new one. Until then, your IT team can keep it on for Apple’s apps.
